Keeping Microsoft Edge up to date helps ensure better performance and security. Here’s how to check for updates:
Open Microsoft Edge on your computer.
Click the three dots (⋯) in the top right corner to open the menu.
Go to Settings and more > Help and feedback > About Microsoft Edge (or type
edge://settings/helpinto the address bar).
Now, check what the About page says:
"Microsoft Edge is up to date" – Great! No action needed.
"An update is available" – Click Download and install. The update will apply the next time you restart Edge.
Note: If you’re on a cellular network, downloading the update may use data.
"To finish updating, restart Microsoft Edge" – Click Restart to apply the update. It’s already downloaded, and restarting will complete the process.
That’s it! You’re all set with the latest version.
